NAIROBI CITY TOUR

A guided tour of Nairobi - a vibrant and bustling city, commences from the city center. The tour includes the colorful market and its surrounding bazaars, Parliament buildings, Kenyatta International Conference Center, Railway Museum and Nairobi University. The tour culminates in a visit to the National Museum: "the Finest Small Museum in Africa". It is well known for its wealth of display of local interest paleontology, tribal artifacts, paintings of late Joy Adamson, political history of Kenya, ornithological collections, multitude of stuffed game heads, casts of fish (even a whale skeleton) and the skeleton and fiberglass replica of 'Ahmed' - the famous elephant from Marsabit. Snakes and reptiles can be viewed in safety at the adjacent Snake Park.

This city tour takes you through the commercial and shopping centre of Nairobi. This vibrant and bustling city is a study in contrasts. Sleek skyrise buildings stand next to small stalls (dukas) made of corrugated iron. There are elegant shops selling international wares near the wonderful city bazaar with its bright tropical flowers and a tempting array of handicrafts from baskets and beads to soapstone and wooden carvings.

People of various races and cultures pass you on the streets. You will see the Parliament buildings and tour the National Museum which has been described as "The finest Small Museum in Africa" and is well known for it’s prehistoric exhibits and displays of tribal artifacts. You can view reptiles in safety at the adjacent snake park. Your tour concludes with a drive through a residential area of Nairobi.

Nairobi City Tour : This covers the City Market, Parliament Buildings, Railway Museum, and the National Museum, next to which is the Snake Park.

The (New) Stanley Hotel:

Formerly known as New Stanley Hotel, this hotel has recently undergone a full renovation. The design concept takes on a Victorian theme with high ceilings and Old World charm while incorporating every comfort and luxury for the traveler of today. Positioned close to the Westlands, a fast growing area of the Nairobi suburbs, this hotel is about 15 minutes drive from the city. The hotel still holds a lot of the 1930’s Mayfair. It has 174 rooms, a swimming pool, health club and a casino. They have a shuttle service bus to town on the hour.

Panafric Hotel - 4 star

Located ten minutes drive from the city center. All rooms are air-conditioned, and has a swimming pool & conference facilities.

Safari Park Hotel - 5 star

Situated the Nairobi suburbs, about 30 minutes from the city center the hotel is built on a 64-acre plot with beautiful landscaped gardens. It has 204 rooms, a large swimming pool, health club, tennis courts, casino, piano bar and a nightclub. They have shuttle services to the city.

Norfolk Hotel - 5 Star

Set within Nairobi, The Norfolk has impressed generation after generation of visitors with its unfailing high standards of service, luxurious style, hospitality and comfort.
