TREK 3A
LAKE NAKURU & MASAAI MARA
Day 1:
Depart for Nakuru,
experiencing breathtaking views of the world's greatest land rift, to
arrive in time for lunch. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in Lake Nakuru
National Park. The park provides a sanctuary for the rhino. Lake Nakuru
has always been considered a flamingo lake par excellence. The contrast
and apparent dislocation between the shallow soda lake with its primeval
birds and the animated woods all around it give Lake Nakuru National
Park a very distinctive appeal. Dinner and overnight at a lodge over
looking the lake.
Day 2:
After breakfast,
depart for Mara - the land of vast migrating herds. After lunch, an
afternoon game drive to get a closer look at the Mara. On the plains,
look for the predators hidden among the acacia trees: Black-maned Lion,
Cheetah and Leopard. Enormous grazing herds are ever present. Return
to an archetypal Mara lodge/tented camp for sundowners, dinner and overnight
stay.
Day 3:
An early morning
game drive that promises to be thrilling. The sheer enormity of the
Mara and the abundance of exotic wildlife offer endless opportunities
for excitement. Return to the Lodge/tented camp for breakfast and then
depart for Nairobi.
TREK 3B

Reticulated Giraffe, Grevy's Zebra, Beisa Oryx and the Blue-necked Somali
Ostrich that are rare elsewhere in the country. Dinner and the night
will be spent along the banks of the Uaso Nyiro River at one of the
luxurious Samburu lodges.
Day 2:
Further exploration
of this fascinating reserve awaits you. Early morning and afternoon
game drives give a chance to explore some of the world's most spectacular
and exciting terrain. Overnight and meals at the lodge.
Day 3:
After breakfast,

TREK 3C
MASAAI MARA NATIONAL RESERVE
Day 1:
After breakfast,
depart for Masai Mara - an extension of Tanzania's Serengeti National
Park. Everything is big in Mara. It is a country of breath-taking vistas,
a panorama of vast rolling plains and rounded hills, of intermittent
groves of acacia woodlands and dense thickets of scrub. The Mara River
and its tributaries which are margined by luxuriant riverine forest
bisect the whole. And in every direction there are seemingly endless
herds of game animals. Arrive in time for lunch. An afternoon game drive
followed by return to an archetypal Mara lodge/tented camp for sundowners,
dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2:
Two game drives
for the day to absorb the beauty and splendor of the Mara. In this country
of breathtaking vistas, view its vast assemblages of plains game together
with their associated predators. Mara has the largest population of
lions to be found in Kenya. Other animals to be seen here include Buffalo,
Black Rhino, Hippopotamus, Leopard, Cheetah, Common Zebra, Coke's Hartebeest,
White-bearded Gnu, Oribi, Warthog and Thomson's and Grant's Gazelles.
The bird life of Mara is as profuse as its mammalian fauna. All meals
and overnight stay are at the lodge/tented camp.
Day 3:
After breakfast,
return to Nairobi.
TREK 3D
AMBOSELI
Day 1:
This morning drive
past the scenic Athi Plains and into the bushy country of Amboseli National
Park. Amboseli National Park is a landscape dominated everywhere by
the glistening, majestic snowcap of the mighty Mt Kilimanjaro - a fitting
backdrop to the wild region. It is also the region where pastoral Masai
and their cattle have lived in harmony with wild creatures for many
a century. After lunch, experience an afternoon game drive at the foot
of Africa's highest mountain. Dinner and overnight is at the Amboseli
Lodges, located in the very heart of the Amboseli National Park.

with its snowcapped summit appearing pink in the rising sun. Amboseli
