ARRIVALS AND
DEPARTURES
Kenya has two main ports of entry by air: Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, Nairobi. Located 16 km from the city center. Moi International Airport, Mombasa. Located 12 km from the town center. Mombasa is the main port of entry by sea.
BAGGAGE
Baggage space on safari is restricted to one medium suitcase or holdall per person, plus hand baggage (private safaris where there are less than 7 persons in the vehicle are not subject to this restriction). Visitors to Treetops and the Ark are asked to take overnight bags only; suitcases can be left at the base hotel. Hotels will normally store baggage at no extra cost. Baggage can also be stored at Eden Safari offices. A baggage weight restriction of 15 kg per person applies on air safaris. Where very small aircraft are used this maybe reduced to 10kg.
RATES
Rates for self-drive vehicles are exclusive of fuel and oil but inclusive of maintenance. All vehicles have manual transmission. There is a daily minimum charge of 100 km on all vehicles. Mileage is calculated from our office and back to our office.

CHAUFFEURS
Chauffeurs are available between 8:00am to 6:00pm. Driver's allowance is Shs. 1,000/= per day. Outside these hours driver's allowance will be charged at Shs. 400/= additional to the normal allowance.
DRIVING LICENSE
The client must produce a valid driving license at the time of rental, free from any endorsements and must be over 25 and under 70 years of age and must have held a license for a minimum of 3 years. Other proof of identity must be produced.
PAYMENT
By cash, traveller's cheque or foreign currency. A deposit and approximate hire charges are to be made on making the hire contract.
HIRE IT HERE, LEAVE IT HERE
The cost of dropping off a vehicle in Mombasa is Shs. 7,500/= and Malindi Shs. 8,500/=.
TRANSFERS
Jomo Kenyatta International or Wilson Airport Shs. 2,500/= for Saloon car and 3,500/= for Mini-Bus one way.
OTHER TYPES OF VEHICLES
Should you require a different class of vehicle we can arrange one for you at similar competitive rates.
SECURITY
Theft of personal effects from vehicles are not included in this policy of insurance. The vehicle should not be parked unattended in any public area overnight or for any long period during the day. When necessary the vehicle may be parked at our premises free of charge.
CANCELLATION
Will be charged at 50% of normal rate.
